My inspiration for this photo shoot was the Queen's old Land Rover from Balmoral; which can be seen at Grampian Transport Museum. With 2012 being the Queen's Diamond jubilee I was very interested in the background story of the car and using this to create a classically British countryside fashion shoot. Land Rover is a classic British make and I wanted to convey this. Using a mix of dark greens, reds, navys and whites a traditional British theme was portrayed. The Land Rover itself was from the 1950s, so a certain level of demure and class, that is so much associated with that era, was emulated through the hair and make up. The inspiration for the fabrics and styling took its routes from the heart of the countryside where Balmoral so prominently lies. Tweeds and knitwears, so classically Scottish, were proudly displayed in a beautiful countryside setting to depict the heritage that comes from the British Monarchy. Classically British... SM
